Wir haben sturmfreie Bude! Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich diesen Begriff nach dem Auszug aus dem heimischen Elternhaus nochmal verwenden würde. Aber wenn man Kinder hat, fühlt es sich schon ähnlich an, wenn sie mal übers Wochenende bei den Großeltern sind.
We’re having free run of the house! I never thought I’d use this term again after having moved out of the domestic parents‘ house. But with children, it almost feels like it, when they ‚re spending the weekend with the grandparents.
Ok, es ist natürlich was ganz anderes: während man früher den halben Jahrgang eingeladen hat, um eine rauschende Party zu feiern, am nächsten Morgen die vollen Aschenbecher leeren und die leeren Bierdosen wegschmeißen musste, heißt es heute Zeit zu zweit genießen! Nicht, dass wir keine rauschenden Parties mehr feiern könnten – das können wir ! – aber an einem Wochenende wie diesem ist es auch einfach mal schön, die Zweisamkeit zu genießen.
Ok, it is of course something completely different: while, years ago, we would have invited half of the class to celebrate a wild party, had to empty the full ashtrays and throw away the empty beer cans the next morning, today it is enjoying time together only the two of us! Not that we could not celebrate wild Parties more – we can! – but on a weekend like this, the only thing you wanna do is enjoying being together.
Zusammen in die Stadt gehen, ohne dass mindestens ein Kind im Kleiderständer verschwindet und darin Karussel spielt, im Schöne-Dinge-Laden eine Vase umschmeißt oder beide Kinder durch den gesamten Laden rennen und Fange spielen. Zusammen einkaufen gehen, ohne dass dabei mindestens 5 Produkte pro Kind im Einkaufswagen landen, die elterlicherseits nicht nur nicht gewollt sind, sondern möglicherweise an der Kasse auch noch den armen Eltern die Schamesröte ins Gesicht treiben.
Going to town together without at least one child disappearing in the clothes rack playing carousel, destroying a vase in the furniture store or without both children running through the entire store playing tag. Do grocery shopping together, without finding at least 5 products per child in the shopping cart that are not only not on the shopping list but furthermore letting the parents be red-faced about it.
Und abends dann zusammen kochen und einen leckeren Wein trinken. Ich behaupte nicht, dass ich die größte Weinkennerin bin, aber ich trinke einfach sehr gerne Wein. Und an den Weinen, die mir schmecken möchte ich Euch gerne teilhaben lassen.
And then in the evening cooking together and drinking a delicious red wine. I do not claim to be the greatest wine connoisseur, but I just love to drink it. And I just want to share the wines I love the most with you guys.
Ein richtig leckerer kräftiger Rotwein: Prometus 2013. Was für ein Traum zu unserem Rinderfilet. In der Regel sagt man ja, dass man zu einem kräftigen Wein eher etwas mildes und zu milden Weinen eher etwas kräftigesessen soll. Kann ich hiermit ganz klar bestätigen. Nicht empfehlenswert ist nämlich ein kräftiger Käse dazu, da verzieht es einem den gesamten Gaumen… Da der Wein nicht ganz billig ist (20 € die Flasche), ist es für mich schon ein besonderer Wein, den man nicht einfach mal so trinkt. Aber bei Wein & Vinos gibt es den Prometus momentan im Angebot, 6 Flaschen für 50 %. Also viel Spaß damit!
A really delicious and strong red wine: Prometus 2013. It was like a dream, having it besides our beef. With a strong wine you should rather eat something mild and on the opposite with mild wines you should have a strong dish. In this case I can absolutely confirm this. Not recommended is in fact a strong cheese with such a strong red wine, as it totally irritates the palate … Since the wine is not cheap (20 € per bottle), it really is a special wine to me. But at Wein & Vinos there is a special offer on the Prometus currently, 6 bottles for 50%. So have fun with it!
